西之表市にある美浜を学びの浜MIHAMAとしてブランディングする活動です
のらねこでは発足間もない頃から美浜での活動を行ってきました。活動資金も実績もない私たちがまずできることはビーチクリーンだと考えたためです。
長期休暇に帰省時期を合わせて地元の海を掃除するという取り組みは、その後の活動スタイルの土台となっています。
「種子島の海が好き」という共通のおもいが人と人を繋ぎ、年を重ねるごとに新たな取り組みが生まれ続けています。
Branding Nishinoomote’s Mihama as “MIHAMA, The Learning Shore
Since our early days, Noraneko has focused on activities at Mihama. With no funding or track record, we started with beach cleans—the one thing we knew we could do. Returning home during long breaks to clean our local shores became the foundation of our current style. Our shared love for Tanegashima’s ocean continues to connect people, sparking new initiatives every year.

The Cutting-Edge SHIMA Project

種子島をフィールドに開発・実装される先端技術を住民として学ぶ取り組みです
種子島では、東京大学未来ビジョン研究センター等によって、サトウキビ等の未利用資源を活用したバイオ燃料製造などの研究・実証が進められています。
その一環である「人を育て、地域を変える」ための「Co-learning基盤」は、学生団体「のらねこ」が誕生する契機となりました。現在は種子島出身の大学生として、島内での研究成果を自ら学び、その価値を他の住民へ伝播させる活動に取り組んでいます。
An initiative for residents to learn about advanced technologies developed and implemented in Tanegashima
In Tanegashima, the University of Tokyo’s Institute for Future Initiatives (IFI) is conducting research and demonstrations, such as producing biofuels from unused resources like sugarcane bagasse.
The “Co-learning” platform, an initiative aimed at fostering human resources to transform the region, served as the catalyst for the founding of the student group “Noraneko.” As a university student from Tanegashima, I am now engaged in studying these local research achievements and sharing their value with other residents
